Greg Smith Head of Management Development
Greg Smith is on the road again. He was recently named as Director of
Management Development for Choctaw Management Services Enterprise out of
San Antonio, Texas. In this capacity he is responsible for the training,
development and the improvement of management skills of contract managers
who work for the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) at seven
regional centers in the U.S. These cities are New York, Newark, Houston,
Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Miami.
Greg owns and operates Chart Your Course International, located
in Conyers, Georgia. He shows managers how to attract, keep and motivate
their workforce. Greg has spoken to national organizations and
internationally in Singapore, Puerto Rico, Germany, Canada, and Malaysia.
Prior to moving to Conyers, Greg built his career on the front-line as
an U.S. Army Officer. He worked for the U.S. Army Surgeon General as the
Director of Quality and Strategic Planning. During his tenure he played a
major role in the largest organizational transformation in U.S. history.
He is listed in Harvard University's, Profiles in Business and
Management: An International Directory of Scholars and Their Research.
The Human Resource Executive Magazine selected him as one of the
Top-Ten "Rising Stars" in Human Resource Management. He was one of
ten people chosen in the nation for this honor.
Greg’s advice has appeared in dozens of national and international
journals including the Christian Science Monitor, The Alaska Business
Journal, Do It Yourself Retailing, New Orleans Business News, Rental,
Training & Development, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa
Journal, and other business newspapers including Exame, South
America’s largest business magazine.
He is a prolific writer and author. Greg has written over 300 articles
and three books. In addition he is working on a new book scheduled to come
out next year called, Here Today Here To Stay: Transforming High
Turnover to High Retention Businesses.
